PALEMBANG DARUSSALAM FESTIVAL

 Palembang Darussalam Festival was first held in 1999 and originally performed to welcome the month of Ramadan and the Qur'an Nuzulul night. Now become an annual event and also the tourism agenda in particular the city of Palembang in South Sumatra. Typically, the festival is held every month of Ramadan until the 17th of Ramadan.

 Palembang Darussalam Festival is held on yard of Sultan Mahmud Bararuddin 2 Museum. It is located near Kuto Besak castle. This festival aims to preserve the culture and the arts of Palembang that nuanced of islamic.

There are many competitions that nuanced of islamic. One of them is Musabaqoh Tilawatil Quran (MTQ). This activity is intended to cultivate people to read Al Qur'an and understand meaning of Al Qur'an.This activity is followed by participants sons and daughters.
