Bagus Kuning

Bagus Kuning is one of tourism in Palembang. This area is located at Seberang Ulu II in perumahan bagus kuning, Plaju. Why can Bagus Kuning be one of tourism in Palembang? First of all, Bagus Kuning has a legend. According to the legend itself, queen of bagus kuning has supranatural power diciple of Prophet Muhammad SAW tought Islam religion at the area of Kawasan Batanghari Sembilan in 16th century. She also has twelve diciples. Queen of bagus kuning in her lifetime, she had never married to any men and also having monthly periods. Second, in there we can meet tame monkeys. In the past, the offspring of demon monkey fought with queen of bagus kuning and the monkeys were defeated by queen of bagus kuning. The demon monkey swore that the next their generation will be diciple of queen of bagus kuning. Believe it or not these monkeys still exist there and the amount of the monkeys are still the same as in the past. People used to called them with sacred monkeys. Finally, queen of bagus kuning died. Queen of bagus kuning burried in Musi river, in the past on her tomb stands a high building that covers the grave but after couple of time this building just magically disappeared.
